Translated articles

Hi all,

I need a help to understand the below scenario :

Translated versions (Attached screenshot for reference) in service now are separate articles in different languages that contain the same content (e.g., one English main copy and others in different languages).

They’re linked as translations, so readers automatically see the article in their language. If their language isn’t available, they see the default version.

When I tried to create the article clicking new but it is taking to new article creation and also not having an option to attach the existing knowledge articles!

How can I attach the existing knowledge article (different language) to the main article in service now? I have knowledge manager role.

Thanks in Advance!

Hi @Muh

Thanks for the response.

When click on New its taking me to new article instead of taking me to an option to attach the existing article.  When I tried to do a research, I was able to understand that we need to do plug ins to enable this feature and there wont be an option to existing article but we can only create a new article to link the translated version.

Hello
About this question

Translated versions (Attached screenshot for reference) in service now are separate articles in different languages that contain the same content (e.g., one English main copy and others in different languages).

Under this TAB are listed article generated by translation management
see article https://www.servicenow.com/docs/r/servicenow-platform/knowledge-management/translation-management.ht...
Pay attention SN offers 2 ways for translating article see also localization framework for KNowledge DB

They’re linked as translations, so readers automatically see the article in their language. If their language isn’t available, they see the default version.

This is your assumption. There are several configuration to set with pros and cons .
One option would be to show only article with same language + fallback language (English)
