How does the practice area get set on a Legal Matter from a Record Producer

I have my practice area and my record producer set up and creating legal matters properly and pulling in the template specified but for the life of my I cannot remember how to set the Practice Area or Category on the matter - please help jog my memory!

Did you get this answered already elsewhere??  If not, the Practice Area and Category are set on a matter record when it gets created from a Legal Request. The Practice Area and Category (if populated) are cascaded to the matter record when its created.

This right IF we are creating a matter from a request but you can create a matter directly and that was where I was wondering.  We settled it with the record producer itself and just set it via a value there.
