Making Comments Mandatory When Completing an LSD Review

I have a question regarding the review functionality in Legal Service Delivery (LSD).

We would like to make the comment field mandatory when the reviewing department completes a review task. Specifically, when the reviewer clicks the “Complete Review” button, we want to prevent completion if the comment field is empty.

According to NowSupport, this cannot be achieved OOTB and would require customization. We were advised to consult the community regarding the recommended implementation approach.

I would appreciate guidance on the following:

  • Is there any way to achieve this with OOTB configuration?
  • If customization is required, what would be the best‑practice approach?
    (UI Action, Business Rule, Client Script, Flow Designer, etc.)
  • If there is an implementation pattern that also works in the Workspace interface, please let me know.
