Hello Team,
Customer has the following requests..
For security concerns, the customer does not want to use "INS.service-now.com" domain and want to have the domain as "INS.custdomain.com". This is possible through custom URL..
However, additionally they also want to block the "Inst.service-now.com" so that the instance is avaialble only through their custom URL i.e ""INS.custdomain.com"."
1) Is the above achievable (blocking of INS.servicen-now.com). my understanding is that with custom URL, we simply use a CNAME record to redirect traffic to servicenow domain over internet
2) Can we change the base instance name itself? If yes, would this require changes in ServiceNow records?
3) Customer wants to also use their own certificates rather than ServiceNow certificates.
What is the best way to move ahead

Hi @srinivas79
as ServiceNow is managing the CNAME records for the xxx.service-now.com you have to ask your colleagues or create a support ticket.
