I am really ecstatic to announce that I gave session on Now Mobile Configuration using "Mobile App Builder" in ServiceNow Dev meetup Pune Q1 2024

    During the meetup, I showcased the ServiceNow Demo Experience for Mobile through a series of screenshots, illustrating the practical benefits of the Now Mobile App. Attendees were introduced to the various personas that utilize the mobile app and were updated on the latest enhancements in the Now Mobile Washington release, including a live demonstration.

  • Difference between Now Mobile App and Agent App?

Now Mobile App:

Purpose: The Now Mobile app is designed for employees of an organization to manage their work tasks and requests from their mobile devices. It allows users to access the ServiceNow instance to find information, get help, and make requests on the go.
Functionality: Users can perform various actions such as ordering items from the service catalog, checking the status of incidents or requests, accessing knowledge articles, and receiving notifications about important updates or changes.

Agent App (ServiceNow Agent):

  • Purpose: The ServiceNow Agent app is designed for service desk agents and other professionals who need to manage incidents, problems, changes, and other IT service management (ITSM) tasks from their mobile devices.
    Functionality: The app provides more advanced features tailored for agents, such as the ability to update records, work on tasks, communicate with requesters, and view dashboards or analytics related to their work.
    Target Audience: It is specifically intended for IT professionals, service desk agents, and other support roles that require mobile access to perform their job functions effectively.

          It is better to adjust the image size before setting it as banner.

 

  • Significance of Field Service Management
    The Now Mobile app integrates with ServiceNow's Field Service Management (FSM)
    module to provide field service technicians with mobile access to essential features and data.
    Through the app, technicians can view and update work orders, manage inventory, communicate with            customers, and access knowledge articles on the go. The app supports real-time updates, navigation        assistance, time tracking, and offline capabilities, ensuring that field service workers have the tools they need to efficiently complete tasks and adhere to service level agreements (SLAs), even without an internet connection.
    Implementation of FSM features within the Now Mobile app involves configuring the mobile interface within ServiceNow to tailor the experience for field service needs.
