Using a QR code to open a cat item in the new mobile app

Morning, afternoon and evening all.

We have been using QR codes for a few years to open catalog items in the old classic mobile app. Now that we are moving to the new app, i have found that the current QR codes will only open the classic app or a browser (if the classic app is removed from the iPhone).

For example the qr i have attached is for hi support. Even though i have the mobile app installed, it will only open a browser.

Any ideas?

I don't think you can currently deeplink to a catalog item.  You can try my making sure you are generating a deeplink URL and not just a URL.  But if that doesn't work, which I suspect it will not, then I would upvote this idea.

Yeah Jeff is correct. Deeplinking is to a record or a table. So not to an actual Catalog Item, Dashboard, UI Page, etc..

I also have an idea open on the idea portal to deeplink to the Virtual Agent. So you can scan a QR-code which opens a chat on the mobile, for example because there's an issue with a printer, something about a meeting room, or your own laptop.

I think there is a miss on what i need. I have created the deep links, and can open a catalog item (even seed some info), however, when i scan the QR code on my iPhone it will only open the classic app or a browser. I am looking to see how i can scan a QR code can open the new mobile app. Even just the base system. (i.e. xxx.servicenow.com).
