One of the coolest, most employee-centric features in the August 2023 release is the availability of Employee Center in Microsoft Outlook and the M365 app.  This articles shares some troubleshooting tips if the expected behavior is not immediately seen.

First off, the Product Documentation at Integrating ServiceNow with Microsoft 365 applications for Employee Experience is accurate, make sure you've followed these instructions.

If you are not seeing Employee Center, here are a few steps to try:

  1. Visit https://www.microsoft365.com/m365apps.  And you may see the following:JeffFox_0-1694066181951.png

The listing URL of uninstalled apps is different than that of installed apps.  This url differs from the app launcher found in most Microsoft 365 application windows, and may surface the ServiceNow app.

  2. Your Microsoft tenant may require the following update to show the M365 app, which is still in Targeted Release.  In your Microsoft tenant Admin Portal (https://admin.microsoft.com/) open up the left nav menu and navigate to:

    1. Settings > Org Settings > Organizational Profile tab > Release Preferences, and select "Targeted Release for Everyone."  to enable the M365 Outlook functionality.  This is a temporary need while the M365 release is still in process, but may help if you are not seeing Employee Center in Outlook and/or the M365 app.
