What determines the character validity in a Teams chat title when starting a chat? Is this on the Teams end or in ServiceNow?

@Chris Petrone this is restricted from teams end not from servicenow. colon character is not allowed as per microsoft, you can see that in the teams client as well, if you type : in the title it will throw error.

Hi, I just saw your question now, otherwise I would have answered here instead.
There is a way to make this behaviour less annoying, outlined here.

We are replacing : characters OOB in the latest version of MS Teams integration apps. If latest MAY 2025 version is consumed there wont be a need for customisation.
