Hello @alvira ,
1. Start with the core data model, not the modules Everything in IRM (Policy, Risk, Control, Audit, Vendor Risk) revolves around a few core tables:
- policies and statements
- risks
- controls
- entities the risk/control
Once you understand that Policy > Control > Risk > Entity are all linked through the GRC profile pattern.
2. Understand Advanced Risk and Continuous Monitoring :
ServiceNow having rebuilt parts of IRM over the years. Make sure whatever docs you're using match your instance version the older Policy and Risk Management app vs the newer Advanced Risk/UCF-based framework behave quite differently under the hood like issue creation on control failure, effectiveness scoring, etc.
