Risk Assessment

ChunjiJ

Hi everyone,

I'm working with Risk Management (IRM) in ServiceNow Yokohama and I'm trying to understand the correct behavior of Risk assessments.

I have configured a Risk Statement with an Assessment (metric-based questionnaire). In this case, when I click the Assess button on the Risk record, it correctly launches the legacy metric/matrix-based assessment instead of the new RAM factors.

However, when I remove the Assessment from the Risk Statement and click Assess, the process does not launch any assessment at all — the Risk state simply transitions directly to Response, skipping the assessment step entirely.

What I am trying to achieve is to use the new Risk Assessment Methodology (RAM) with Factors-based assessments, instead of the legacy metric/questionnaire model.

Could someone please clarify:

  • What configuration is required for Risk to use RAM (Factors) instead of legacy assessments?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
