Configuration of color in data visualization component of UI builder

Hello experts,
Have you ever configured specific colors in data visualization component of UI builder? As shown in below snapshot, I have set color type as 'Fixed element color' in UI builder and configured the colors for that field in 'sys_report_chart_color' table but it is always picking default colors. 

I went through below article and it is mentioned that we can use color section of data visualization component for table data sources only. In my case the data source for data visualization component is JSON type of client state parameter.

Am I missing anything here? Please let me know if anyone of you configured something similar in any of the workspace.

What are you trying to achieve here do you want a common color palette for all your data visualization components which are for a particular table.?

I would like to change the color of only one data visualization component of type semi donut chart. Please refer below snapshot. I would like to show specific color for High rating risks and Very High rating risks.

I configured this chart using data source of type JSON client state parameter. But in this article: https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#!/reference/next-experience/sandiego/shared-components/now-v...  , it is clearly mentioned that color section applies to only table data sources.
