Group role suddenly disappeared from a user

Hello experts,
Did anyone of you encountered the same scenario wherein the group role suddenly dissappeared in a group member.
The weird thing is the role is still present in the Group but in the sys_user record, that role is not present. There is also no update done on that user.
I have found a similar case in this community article but no one respond to it:

A long time ago I had something similar, but that had to do with a role removed from the group and still on the user. 

Can you remove the user from the group and re-add it again? That resolved it back then (although I think it was on Fuji).

Thanks for responding. Yeah I also know of that workaround and it seems to work, but I think we would be ask on the reason on the first place why did it happen.

Since this shouldn't be happening: log a case with NowSupport for this. They can see what is wrong.

It seems that ServiceNow has done some work from their side (update the subscriptions), or your instance could be facing Role Inheritance Issues (Role Inheritance Issues - Support and Troubleshooting (servicenow.com).

 

I suggest you create a Hi Support Ticket to get help from ServiceNow.
