How to add existing reports in Next Expereience UI Dashboards

Unable to add existing reports in In-line editor dashboards and technical editor dashboards. Where only showing data visualizations where only able to see tables, indicators. If I've platform analytics dashboard not able to switch to next UI then is there any to use exisitng reports in new editor dashboards.

I'm assuming the reports you're trying to reuse are classic reports built in Report Designer, the ones living in the sys_report table, not indicators, since that's the thing the new dashboard canvas won't let you drop in.

That's expected, not a bug on your instance. Both the in-line editor and the technical/UI Builder editor for Next Experience dashboards only accept two widget types: indicators and data visualizations. A classic report isn't either of those under the hood, so it never shows up in the "add widget" picker even though it exists and runs fine everywhere else in the platform.

The fix is to convert the report into a data visualization rather than trying to add it as-is. If you're on Zurich or later, open the Reports list (sys_report), select the report or reports you need, and run the "Migrate to Platform Analytics" list action. That creates a data visualization from the report definition, and it then shows up in the data visualization picker on the new dashboard canvas. If you're pre-Zurich, do it at the dashboard level instead: use the Platform Analytics Migration Center to migrate the Core UI dashboard that already holds those reports, it pulls the reports across and converts them in one pass rather than one at a time.

The same logic explains why your existing Platform Analytics dashboard won't switch over to the Next UI: it's still holding Core UI report objects that haven't been through that conversion yet. Migrate the reports first, then check the resulting visualization matches what the original report showed before you rebuild or re-point the dashboard in the new editor. Don't spend time hunting for a setting to expose classic reports directly in the new canvas, ServiceNow retired that path deliberately as part of sunsetting classic reporting, so migration is the supported route here, not a workaround.
