When I add a Record List to my page, I can define the columns like so:
But if I add a second record list to the page, I get this:
So my first list is fine, but on the second list I have no idea what to do. Why is the presentation different, and how do I figure out what goes in this property?

Hello, I tried this on a new page, and I don't get the issue :
Do you have UI builder application updated to latest version ? Could you try to do this on a new blank page to see if you get the issue, maybe you have other problem on your current variant.
Hope it helps.

Hi, the difference was that in one case I had populated a certain property of the list control, but in the other I had left it alone. With that property populated, the column selector went away. I'm sorry, I do not remember what property it was. I wound up creating a view to define the columns and filling in the view name under View (see my snapshot).

That was a good workaround, if you ever come to the same issue, share which property caused it so we could look into it.
You can mark, your answer as correct to help others.
Cheers
