My team has made a modal appear at page launch of the business continuity workspace. This was achieved by a client script that executes on page ready with an api.emit pointing to a guidance containing a video. This video was intended to onboard our users to the new workspace. We now want to create a user preference (or feel free to suggest another method) that captures if a user has seen the video and conditionally displays it.
I have tried using state parameters but they seem to reset with a browser refresh.
Could someone guide me how to retrieve, update and use a user preference like this?
