This article highlights some Best Practices around installing Now Assist related plugins and how to keep Now Assist capabilities up-to-date with upcoming ServiceNow family releases and patch upgrades. Refer to article Now Assist skills and plugins guide - as of latest release for details on all Now Assist related plugins and their latest versions.
Also refer to this video recording Now Assist Plugin install Best Practices available from ServiceNow Community on YouTube which demonstrates these same plugin installation best practices outlined in this article.
Release:
Vancouver or later releases
Guidance:
With regards to all Now Assist related plugin installs and updates, it is best to always install and update these plugins at the product level, depending on the Now Assist product we are interested in. For example, Now Assist for IT Service Management which is a BU/workflow level product plugin or Now Assist for Creator which is an independent Now Assist product plugin.
This ensures all of the underlying entitlements and dependencies that are needed are handled seamlessly as part of the product plugin update and brought over to the instance as expected.
All of such Now Assist product related plugins are listed on the Now Assist Admin>Settings >Plugin page.
Installed plugins can be viewed from the Installed tab of this page.
Whether or not this is a first-time Now Assist installation or an update as part of a ServiceNow family release or patch upgrade, it is best to start by requesting the associated product plugin ex. Now Assist for ITSM, from the ServiceNow Store as shown below. Doing so, brings over all the needed dependencies for underlying plugins into the instance as well as each of their entitlements needed for the requested product plugin to install successfully.
After the plugin is entitled for the instance and approved in Store, a Sync can be performed from the instance’s Application Manager plugin page by clicking on the refresh Sync icon as shown here. This refreshes all of the plugin entitlements for the instance.
Now that all of the associated plugins are entitled, we can go ahead and install the product plugin directly by clicking on the Install or Proceed to update button.
This will bring over all associated dependencies, and once the product plugin installation has completed, we are good to go!

I will start Now Assist journey soon.
For verification purposes, I am considering installing the plugin individually on a non-production instance. In this In this case, is it possible to synchronize it later following this best practice?

Yes Daichi. As long as you have the needed SN license, you can request the plugin from store or reach out to your Account Executive to get entitlement. Once approved in Store, you can install from your instance as per the guidance outlined here.

@Daichi Ishikawa Thank you, I thought admin role was enough.
It is now proven not to be enough for AI stuff.
