Dear Experts,
It may sound a bit naive. I am actively pursuing the AI modelling in ServiceNow.. but sometimes i get confused with where to start and how to build the basic and quickly start ramping myself. It would be great if someone can help me or give me an already followed roadmap to begin with. I will be really grateful for any guidance suggestions from anyone.
Best Wishes.

Hi @Nilanjan1 ,
It’s not naive at all — AI modeling in ServiceNow is still new for everyone, and the learning path can feel unclear at first. The good news is that you don’t need to know everything to get started.
Focus on the basics: understanding use cases, learning how data flows into the AI Controller, and experimenting with small models to build confidence.
A simple roadmap many of us follow is:
-
Start with ServiceNow’s AI Fundamentals and the AI Controller basics
-
Build a few guided models using out‑of‑the‑box datasets
-
Explore predictions, classifications, and similarity models
-
Gradually move into real business use cases and custom data
If you stay consistent, the ramp-up becomes much easier. And yes — the community is always happy to help. If you need a more detailed roadmap or want to validate your approach, feel free to reach out. You’re on the right track. Alos refer other suggestions from @Dr Atul G- LNG and @Tanushree Maiti
Besides that, if you are trying to learn AI from scratch as a subject then go for any learning path at google, microsoft training etc. which gives idea about core technology behind it, like model, llm, transformers, tokenizers, dataset, nlp etc. Check this as example Hugging Face - Learn
Thanks,
AshishKM
