Need help with Now Assist in context to UI Builder

Hi Everyone,

 

I’m currently working on integrating Now Assist Panel within ServiceNow UI Builder (Next Experience) and had a few questions. I’d really appreciate guidance or any best practices from those who have implemented this.

 

Here are the areas I’m exploring:

 

  1. Invoking Now Assist from multiple places

    • How can we trigger or invoke the Now Assist panel from different components or sections within a landing page?

  2. Providing context to Now Assist

    • What is the recommended way to pass contextual data (record, fields, user info, etc.) so responses are relevant?

  3. Making relevant data available

    • What is the recommended approach to expose or configure underlying tables so that Now Assist can access and use the necessary data effectively?

  4. Setting up base/promoted questions

    • How can we define default or suggested questions that appear when Now Assist is opened?

If anyone has implemented similar use cases or can share documentation, examples, or design approaches, that would be really helpful.
