Unable to complete the task - Create and comment on a record

I'm working on an SNU task that requires assigning software to an assignment group, but the software option isn't appearing in the dropdown and I'm unable to complete the request. Is there a setup step I'm missing, or are there specific permissions needed to view software assignments? Any clarification on the correct process would be appreciated.

Go to sys_user_group.list and check software group is showing there or not.
