I’m working on an AI Agent use case in ServiceNow and have configured a notification that sends an email based on user interaction.
When I use the Preview Email feature from the Email Logs (sys_email) or directly from the notification, I consistently see the following line appended at the bottom of the preview:
“The resource ID associated with this summary is: IDxxxxxxxxxxx”
This line does not appear in the actual notification content or the message body that I’ve configured, and it seems to be automatically injected by the system during preview.
I’m trying to understand the following:
1. Where is this text coming from?
2. Is this part of the AI Agent / Now Assist summarization framework?
3. Will this message be included in the actual email sent to end users?
4. Is there any official documentation or explanation of what this ID represents?
If anyone has come across this behavior or knows the underlying source of this message, I’d appreciate any insights or links to documentation.
