Looking for a CIS – Data Foundations Exam Voucher or Student Sponsorship

Hi everyone,

I recently completed my CSA and CAD certifications.

My next goal is to earn the CIS – Data Foundations certification, as it is now a prerequisite for CIS – ITSM, which is one of the certifications I'm working toward in my ServiceNow learning journey.

I unfortunately missed the free CIS – Data Foundations exam offer that ended on June 30. As a final-year student, covering the cost of multiple certification exams is difficult for me.

I'm reaching out to ask if anyone knows of any exam vouchers, student sponsorship programs, certification assistance, promotional offers, or any other opportunity that could help me take the CIS – Data Foundations exam at no cost or at a reduced cost.

If anyone has any information or guidance, I would really appreciate your help. Thank you for taking the time to read my post, and thanks in advance for any suggestions or support you can provide.

If Not. you have to pay the exam fee by Credit card or learning credits.

• CIS – IT Service Management (ITSM) 
• CIS – Service Mapping (SM) 
• CIS – Security Incident Response (SIR) 
• CIS – Software Asset Management (SAM) 
• CIS – Vulnerability Response (VR) 

Free Exam Registration Offer

Candidates who hold one or more of the seven IT CIS certifications above are eligible to take the CIS – DF (CMDB and CSDM) exam at no cost, if they register on or before December 31, 2026. After registering, candidates have 90 days to schedule and complete the exam. This offer applies to first attempts only.

If a candidate has not earned the CIS-DF certification by 12/31/26, their existing implementation specialist certification(s) within ITAM, ITOM, ITSM, etc. will expire - even if they have a CIS-DF exam scheduled in 2027.

No exceptions or complimentary exam attempts will be granted after December 31, 2026.

Previously Purchased Exam Attempt Exchange

Candidates who had previously purchased a CIS – DF exam attempt were eligible to submit a ServiceNow University case (after December 10, 2025) to exchange it for a free attempt on a different certification exam. This offer ends 12/31/2026.

If you already have an eligible CIS certification, ServiceNow has extended the deadline until December 31, 2026. You may want to check with ServiceNow University, your employer, or a ServiceNow Partner for any upcoming voucher or certification assistance programs.
