ServiceNow POP3/SMTP

Hi,

 

Background:  We are merging with another company, and have to rebrand the ServiceNow email POP3/SMTP server names.  

 

I have generated a new SMTP email account with a new user name new@service-now.com  which has been updated from our default of old@service-now.com

Tested connection and it resolves.  Sent notification from ServiceNow and I received it as new@service-now.com

I have generated a new POP3 email account with a new user name new which has been updated from out default of old.

Tested connection and it fails. Replied to sent notification from new@service-now.com and gets rejected.

Can I just generate a new POP3 account?  If so, what I missing?  Or do I need to submit a ticket for assistance?

 

Anything information you can provide would be most helpful.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The email account is usually set up by ServiceNow during the instance provisioning process.
In this case as well, I recommend logging a ServiceNow support case with the team for assistance.

Hi @Wade Clairmont ,

 

 (@service-now.com) domain is owned by servicenow they have to provision this email address to your instance

 

if you want to set your own company outlook email smtp or Pop3 account you can do it but with service-now domain you have to check with the support team

 

Better log a HI case with servicenow
