ServiceNow has not publicly confirmed a specific release date for extending NOW Assist’s summarization to ITSM Problems. If this is a critical feature for your workflow, it’s advisable to monitor official ServiceNow release notes and community forums for upcoming roadmap updates or reach out to your ServiceNow account representative for the latest roadmap commitments.

 

However, it is possible to build a custom Now Assist skill for summarizing ITSM Problems using the Now Assist Skill Kit in ServiceNow. Starting with the Xanadu release, ServiceNow introduced the Now Assist Skill Kit, which empowers developers and architects to create, deploy, and publish their own generative AI skills beyond the existing out-of-the-box (OOTB) offerings like incident or chat summarization. This means you can design a custom skill specifically tailored to summarize ITSM Problem records, even though native support for this use case may not be available yet.
