Flexible Visual Task Board with swimlanes and without compact cards?

Hi Everyone, 

We've created a flexible VTB with swimlanes, and it seems that we are limited to using compact cards.  Does anyone know if it is possible to create a flexible VTB with swimlanes and without compact cards?  \

In the configuration tab, Show Compact Cards option is on and disabled so we can't turn off compact cards.  Is there a way around this?

Hi there,

Untested, though you could try something like below. This does work for Guided boards. Though did not test if this works for flexible or freeform boards.

How do you get it change in guided boards?  I don't have admin rights, can only admins make that change for guided?

Hi Mark, 

Thanks for the response.  I tried that, but it didn't change anything.  I found that the preference was already set.

I submitted a ticket to SN support and their response was compact cards are turned on and can't be turned off in flexible VTBs that use swim lanes and there isn't a way around it.  The reasoning behind the decision is that the development team were worried that using the full sized cards would use up too much screen real estate, making the VTB unusable.

I appreciate SN's concern; however, there is the ability to hide swimlanes.  Therefore allowing one to uncheck the compact card configuration would be a nice to have.  We demo that board and would like the details to be displayed.  Also would like to be able to ACL Task Boards!
