Is it possible to use more than one password policy (applied to different users)?

Hello, new ServiceNow admin here so apologies if I posted in the wrong forum.

We have created a custom password policy for local users and applied it via the Password Reset Credential Store. The question that I have is:

Is it possible to apply different password policies to different users within the instance? We are submitting audit evidence and I want to be able to tell them that (if) only one password policy can be applied in the instance, across the board. Thanks!

Hi,

The password policy is for the entire instance, so there can be only one.

The only other way to have another "policy", would be if they were authenticating with SSO or another external entity, then ServiceNow doesn't control or work with that password and the other entity would control the password policy/strength, etc.

Thank you so much - do you know if it states that anywhere in the documentation?
