Viewing All Reports that are Shared with Me (dynamic)

This feels like an easy question but wanted to run this by the community.

My client wants to give a view to our end users of canned reports. I'm OK with setting up the reports and setting up the permissions so that different groups can see the reports, but wanted to see if people have had this requirement and how they approached it. In their mind there should be a page that has a list of reports that the user has access to and they can select and download the reports from that page.

My current plan is to have a pretty knowledge article that includes the 'published' report links.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Check out the Admin console dashboard. There's a tab 'reports' there. Maybe you can use that as a starting point.

I do wonder about your 'they want to have this for whatever reason'. Maybe finding that reason can already save you a lot of work. Starting point of using a new platform/tool is always: you are getting something new, it's not all like it was before.
Without knowing the 'why' it could very well be that you are going to spend a lot of time on something that is never going to be used.

This already exists: the view/run menu brings you to all reports (and the 'all' option) shows all the reports that you have access to. What's the benefit of showing end users what kind of reports they have access to? What's the business case here? Shouldn't it be the other way around: you get access to what you need to see instead of being told what you can see?

Morning Mark - thanks for your response. Agree that View/All is an option but that I understand that provides a way for a report_user to access reports to edit/run them versus just executing the report.

Our business case is that there are certain canned reports that their users were used to from a legacy system. We proposed them as a dashboard but for whatever reason they want it as a list of executable reports.
