DIFFRENCE BETWEEN : Reporting and performance analytics reporting

i would like to know what major difference between a simple reporting and the PA reporting .

any link would be much appriciated

Hello @pramn 

Let’s keep it simple:

 

Reports in ServiceNow show real-time data like a live list or chart of current incidents, tasks, etc.

 

But if you want to see historical data trends (like how many incidents were open every day for the past 6 months), you need to use Performance Analytics (PA).

 

So the main difference is:

 

Reporting = Real-time data (current status)

Performance Analytics = Historical data trends (past performance over time)

Reporting -> shows current status

PA -> shows historical data, trends, predicting future trends, etc
