How to configure a Dashboard Interactive Filter using a Date Range Breakdown Source

I have a requirement to create a date range filter using breakdown sources.  I understand how to configure the Dashboard Properties to connect with an

interactive filter.   How do I configure the interactive filter to work with this breakdown source? Below are my steps taken so far:

Hi Pamela,

You cannot use a breakdown source that is based on a bucket group as an interactive filter.

So,  you either work with bucket groups and filter your dashboard with that breakdown,   or  you base your breakdown source on the same table as an interactive filter and you can associate that interactive filter to your breakdown on a dashboard.

Yeah but how would something like this be applied if you want to say filtered to show Closed incidents "last month" or closed incidents "this month" for the sum.
