Why breakdowns are not created in Indicators?

Hi All,
Greetings..!!
I am using few Indicators for creating some Data Visualizations in 'Platform Analytics Workspace'.
Breakdown Requirement:
- Assignment Group
- Incident Type
- Incident Category
- etc. (according to requirement)
Would you please help me with below questions?
1. How many Breakdowns we can add in an indicator or how many are preferred?
2. Does adding multiple Breakdowns as mentioned above affects the performance of Indicator / Jobs?
3. Are there any other issues if we add multiple Breakdowns as per requirement?

I mean to say to add breakdowns in 'Breakdowns' which is the related list on the indicator.

Hi Rakshanda,
It's great that you are thinking about performance here, let me try and answer your questions.
Before we discuss those, just a note that your questions here are not affected if you use them in Platform Analytics Workspace, PA Dashboards or elsewhere.
Consider PA Scores as a backpack you're carrying, with the principle being if you have few items, you can quickly search for an item in them, and the more items in the bag, the harder the search gets.
The same login is applied to indicator breakdowns. If you have no breakdowns, the score retrieval will be fastest, though you probably might not solve your requirement.
Adding breakdowns gradually adds to the weight of the bag, and the weight/lookup time keeps increasing.
Adding a few might not affect performance noticeably, but the more the breakdowns, the more load time it takes.
1. ServiceNow recommends 10 breakdowns, though there is no limit to it.
2. As I explained above it does. Feel free to add breakdowns, but try to not add unwanted breakdowns. It may seem to perform fine now, but as the PA Scores table increases over time, the performance or lack thereof can get quite frustrating.
3. Nothing specific otherwise.
One more point I want to add: In this case, in performance analytics ,you will be able to filter by only 2 elements maximum at a time. This means you can filter by Assignment Group: Group 1 and Type: Bug.
But you can't filter by Assignment Group: Group 1, Type: Bug and category: mobile.
Click the collect breakdown matrix checkbox to collect these 2 levels of scores.
