A while ago I was examining our documentation for domain separation in Performance Analytics, and found something I thought was confusing. We used the term "Domain configuration" for two different things:
- In a generic sense, configuring Performance Analytics in a domain-separated environment
- Creating Domain Configuration records (table pa_domain_configurations) and associated functionality provided in the Performance Analytics – Domain Separation Support plugin
I decided I ought to disambiguate this. While I was at it, I looked up all the Community articles and linked white papers on domain separation in PA and incorporated whatever looked useful.
In the newly rewritten doc, "domain configuration" refers only to Domain Configuration records and their associated functionality. If you use PA with domain configuration, please take a look at the documentation section that begins with Domain Separation and Performance Analytics and let me know what you think. Suggestions and corrections are most welcome!
