We’re currently working with Active Directory Actions in our ServiceNow instance and need to log their executions for auditing and traceability purposes. However, due to internal best practices, we cannot use the sys_logs table, as it’s not suitable for reporting or integration with our monitoring tools.
We’re looking for suggestions or proven approaches to handle this. Specifically:
- Are there any recommended tables for storing custom logs?
- Has anyone implemented a custom or extended table for this purpose?
- Is it possible to extend AD Actions to write to a custom table without impacting performance or system integrity?
- Any advice on keeping these logs accessible for reporting and dashboards?
We’d really appreciate any insights, experiences, or suggestions you can share.
