Hi all,
After migrating from Classic UI to Next Experience (Analytics Center),
some users can no longer edit or save reports that were previously editable.
The report type is line_bar, and the report opens under the following URL format:sys_report_template.do?jvar_report_id=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
In Classic UI, the same group (role‘itil, dashboard_admin, report_group, problem_manager, change_manager) could edit the reports without any issue.
The reports were shared to this group with “Can edit” permission, and users could save modifications.
After switching to Next Experience (Analytics Center),
the Edit button disappeared and the report became read-only, even though:
Sharing configuration is unchanged, and
The users still have report_group and other related roles.
Question
Is this an expected specification change in Next Experience (Analytics Center),
where report_group users can no longer edit group-shared reports?If not, could you please advise:
Whether this is a known limitation or defect;
How to safely enable report editing for group users (in Application = Global),
without modifying the out-of-box ACL for sys_report or sys_report_template.
