Configure error message, "report visible only to a specific user or group"

hi all,

we have a requirement to show the report owner's name within the message "report visible only to a specific user or group" so that users can get a contact for the report they cannot see.

Any ideas how could that be changed? And if it is not possible, what alternative solution would be best to use?

Hi @Eszter Horvath 

Please check report list, there is "create by" column. The created by user is the default owner of that report who can grant access to other user(s) or group(s). 

In case, this "created by" user no longer active in system, administrator can update this with new user.

This can be done via sys_ui_message table ( translations) but you cannot make the message dynamic with report owner name as this is a system message and changing that would be a major customisation which is not recommended.

1. Open sys_ui_message table.

2. Create a new message in "English" language as below:
