Hi,
How do I create a trend analysis report in Performance Analytics? Is it the same as "Time Series" report with "Show Trending" option selected?
Thanks,
G Balaji

What do you want to see? A time series shows you a trend but so does a PA single score. The more you can describe your goal, the better the advice here will be.

I need to generate a performance analytics trend report for a coloumn X from a table Y on day basis. I don't know which aggregate would be relevant for this scenario. Because, if I select count, all I see is x-axis has time and y-axis has count of the records and it is flat (since it 's taking the count which is going to be same for the given condition. And, here the type is Time Series and visualization is column chart). I dont know which aggregate will be the right one for seeing the values of column X on day basis. For eg. for a day 01-Apr-2017, the value on the column X is 74%, so what I expect to see on dashboard is a graph with x-axis as Day and Y-axis range be 0 to 100 and for this day 01-Apr-2017, it is going to show 74%. Similarly trend has to show for the month of April. I tried setting "Average" as aggregate and choosing the field as column X but the result is same, ie. I don't see any data relevant to the values in column X.How do I accomplish this task?
I'm new to servicenow and hence PA as well. Is there any detailed doc on PA?
Thanks for your response.

I highly recommend taking the two-day Performance Analytics training. In the meantime, look at the OOTB content for Incident Management to get an idea of how to track incoming rates, backlog, and some formulas on these indicators.

I have learnt Performance Analytics from docs, youtube, blog. However, I don't have an answer the question I have posted here. I have defined the aggregate and column in the indicators but I'm not sure to which period this aggregate is applied on. In my case, what I see is aggregate is applied for the whole period whereas my requirement is for a day. ie.I have chosen "Average" as aggregate and the report shows monthly average whereas I expect to see daily average. Where do I define this?
Thanks,
