Dynamic content filter in Platform Analytics Workspace (Xanadu) for string field on custom table

I’m working with Platform Analytics Workspace (PAW) in the Xanadu release and I have a question about dashboard filtering.

I have a custom table with a string field, and I want to add a dynamic filter on a PAW dashboard so users can interactively filter the widgets based on values in that string field (similar to content/interactive filters in classic dashboards).

My questions are:

  1. Does Platform Analytics Workspace (Xanadu) support dynamic or interactive content filters for dashboards?

  2. If yes, what is the recommended way to configure this for a string field on a custom table?

  3. Are there any limitations or prerequisites (for example, needing a breakdown, indicator source configuration, or specific field type)?

So far, I’ve looked at indicator sources and breakdowns, but I’m not sure if this is the correct approach or if PAW has a different mechanism for dashboard-level filters.

Any guidance, documentation references, or examples would be really helpful.

Thanks.

Hi @Aditya40 ,

Platform Analytics Workspace (Xanadu) supports dynamic filters through breakdowns and indicator sources, which you can bind to filter components in your dashboard. If you need more flexibility in how filters or visuals are presented, using Performance Analytics content blocks is the correct approach. Content blocks let you embed custom UI elements (like filter selectors or explanatory text) directly into dashboards
