How can I see which dashboards utilize which reports?

Hi all,

Our client is using dashboards quite heavily, which is working very well for them. We have also encouraged that they use existing reports to the greatest extent possible, rather than recreating identical or nearly identical reports.

What we would need is a list of which reports are being used in which dashboards. The business requirement is that someone may want to make changes/additions to an existing report, and would like to first see which dashboards are utilizing that report, so that they can take that into consideration before making any changes. Is there a way to see this?

thanks  /Tommy

Navigate to Admin Console from the Performance Analytics and click on “Dashboards” under the “Explore and Manage”

In the "Dashboards" window, click on the top left dropdown, and switch from "Dashboard Groups" to "Dashboards".

Type the name of the dashboard you want to explore and click on the "Reports" tab.

This will show you the list of all of the reports being used for that dashboard. You can also export the results if you need to.

Thanks for your quick reply Tsura, I've found that one already but it doesn't completely match my requirements (as far as I can tell). I'd like a list where I can filter out a specific report, giving a list of all dashboards that utilize that report. Is there a way to do this via what you are suggesting?

thanks  /Tommy

Hello,

Yes! Yes! Yes! with the help of launch dependancy assessment you will get detailed information which reports, indicators, breakdowns, interactive filters, etc has been used for a Dashboard.

You can drill down in deep to know the best understanding of your dashbaord.

Please follow below steps also I have attached screenshot for your reference.

For reference, I am using already existing Dashboard named as Incident Managemnet.

1. Open Incident Managemnet dashboard from the list.

2. Click on hamburger on left top corner besides name of dashbaord the three lines where you will get the list of options

3. Click on launch dependancy assessment option and play with the search box and right side you will get the list of legend so that you will get idea which icon is representing what.

This way you can see dependencies of not only a report but literally any PA indicator, breakdown, table etc. I found it really really usefull.
