I have read this post detailing how to duplicate a tab on a dashboard. I have editor access to the dashboard -- I followed the steps:
1) open the dashboard
2) open Dashboard Properties
3) click on the 'Dashboard Tabs' tab
4) click on the 'New' button
5) look up the Tab value (the tab to duplicate); specify an Order value (for where the new tab is to appear); click on 'Submit'
However I am stuck on step 5 because the only look up values that are available are tabs that I created. I have tried to manually type in the tab name, but I get an error message. Am I missing specific permissions? I am unsure what to request from the creator/owner of the dashboard to accomplish this task.
Let me know if you need any additional information from me!

Hi Lesliec,
Definitely a little funky - I was able to replicate what you have described. It looks like the first tab isn't avialable to create in this manner. I found a workaround:
Steps 1-3 are the same
4. Click the tab you want to duplicate from dashboard tabs
5. Click "insert" from the top-left menu (should take you back to Dashboard tabs):
6. Click "new" button
7. look up the tab value to duplicate and give new order

Thank you! I will try that out!
When I duplicate a Tab on a Dashboard, does it create a new copy of the Widgets on that Dashboard? Or does it just create a reference? AKA If I edit the Widgets on the copied Tab will it affect the Widgets on the original Tab?
I am asking because of something I read in this article:
Note that when copying the Dashboard, the actual widgets are not duplicated as the Dashboard does not contain actual copies of the Widgets but rather a reference to the controls and Widgets placed on the Dashboard.

Hi Lesliec,
This is correct - duplicate dashboard tabs will create a reference to the widget in the first tab (e.g. both tabs reference the same widget)

Actually, I do not have an "Insert" option. I only see "Insert and Stay"
