How do you use "bucket groups" in a report?

I got a request for a user to have the ability to use specific time based bucket groups in a report. Is that possible as the documentation seems to only mentioned it could be used in scripts?

BTW side note, I don't even see an option for creating them under Performance Analytics> Breakdowns> Bucket Groups which I am gathering we are not licensed for them? However I did see the option under Performance Analytics> Breakdowns > Buckets Groups and it appears a few were set up under there?

In reporting, the functionality most similar to bucket groups is Report Ranges.

Basically you can take your PA data and put into different buckets. Buckets can be days, hours, business elapsed % on SLA, etc. Each bucket item has a start and end values and based on the values from the PA report, it puts the data into the correct bucket.

Can you provide an example of how that can be used in a report? (This is what the user is claiming they want to use it for).

Example where Incident age puts ticket into correct bucket based on bucket definition:
