How to create breakdowns on Catalog variables in Performance Analytics in ServiceNow?

I am new to PA and new to ServiceNOW.

I am trying to create few dashboards for Catalog Request Items to present meaningful data.

My data segregation is in variables on catalog items.

I do not see any way to create breakdowns on Variables.

Can anybody shed some light on it or provide pointers for me to move in right direction?

can you guide how to do breakdown mapping for variables here, in above post, its asked to select sys_id but there is no sys_id available. also, in my case there are many variables so how to select particular variable attribute

Hi Dennis,

Your post was quite helpful to me. I followed all the steps (at least I believed I did) I do have the breakdown showing, however when I select them, nothing is changing on my report. I am not sure where I am going wrong here.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  I tried just using the interactive filter - reference but having difficultly setting the interactive filter reference. I have tried both ways. I like the drop down at the top. Any thoughts
