HI Need help with following 

 

how to create report showing number of tickets assigned to certain assignment group in a month

 

For example number of tickets service desk assigned to application support group for the month of Jan 2022

Hi Karan, 

For answering the question best possible, there are different options that you need to look at. 

If your requirement is only assignments from Service Desk to Application Support, you need to look at metric. https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/rome-platform-administration/page/use/reporting/concept/c_MetricDefinitionSupport.html

If you requirement is all tickets assigned to application support, then you can do a normal report white relevant filters. Please notice here, that report number will change every time you update, if the tickets for application support is re-assigned.

You can also look at performance analytics, which will take a snapshot according to your definition on the indicator / indicator source.

Thanks , i will look at options you mentioned , 

If I go with first option that is assignments from Service Desk to Application Support, can I define it to show only those tickets assigned to application support in the month of Jan 2022 ? as i need it for our monthly service delivery report to show number of tickets assigned to application support and number of tickets resolved by application support in Jan 2022 

Can I create that report using database view? if yes then can you help me what the query for that report ?
