Hi @Srikanth Koppad ,

You can control who sees the Delete, Share, and Duplicate options on a Platform Analytics dashboard by managing user permissions. This is not done by simply hiding buttons but by controlling access through roles assigned to a user.
The options are visible only to users with the appropriate permissions, which are set on a per-dashboard basis. For most users, you should only grant viewing rights.

  • Can view: Users with this permission can see the dashboard but cannot perform any of the administrative actions. For these users, the Share, Duplicate, and Delete options will be hidden or inaccessible.
  • Can edit: Users with this permission can modify the dashboard, including adding or deleting widgets. This permission is what enables the Delete, Duplicate, and Share options. The creator of the dashboard automatically has these rights

I would clarify that the Can view and Can edit options appear when you share a dashboard. So you have to make clear to people who create dashboards that they should not share with editing rights unless they are very certain that the user who they are sharing with ought to have them.

Also, do not hand out the dashboard_admin role like candy.

The creator of a dashboard will always have editing rights to that dashboard. However, the data on that dashboard will only be visible to persons with the ACL rights to view that data.
