We are using ServiceNow Australia Patch 6 and would like to change the default title text color of all Platform Analytics dashboard visualizations to black (#000000).
Our requirements are:
The change should apply to both existing and newly created dashboard widgets.
Explicitly configured title colors must remain unchanged.
Individually configured header background colors must remain unchanged.
We want to avoid modifying each widget individually.
What we have investigated:
The title color is stored in par_dashboard_widget.widget_props as titleColor when explicitly configured.
However, many existing widgets do not have this property and use the default color.
Using browser DevTools, we identified the following component structure:
sn-par-visualization-header → sn-par-widget-header → now-heading
The default title color is currently rgb(111, 117, 130).
The heading uses the CSS variable:
--now-heading--title-tertiary--color
We also confirmed that now-heading receives its own inline value for this variable. Changing the variable on the parent sn-par-widget-header does not affect the title, whereas changing it directly on now-heading successfully changes the title to black.
Our question:
Is there an officially supported, upgrade-safe way to centrally configure the default title color for Platform Analytics dashboard widgets, without overriding explicitly configured user colors?
For example, is there a dedicated theme token, component default, or supported configuration for sn-par-widget-header?
We would prefer a central configuration rather than mass-updating par_dashboard_widget records or using custom CSS/DOM modifications.
Any guidance would be appreciated.
