How to migrate core UI dashboards(This dashboard cannot be switched ) to PA dashboard.

We are planning to migrate the core UI dashboards to PA dashboard as from Australia release PA reports/Dashboard will be default.So need suggestions what all options are there for those core UI dashboards which shows This dashboard cannot be switched to the Next Experience UI because it contains widgets that aren't fully compatible to migrate to PA dashbaords.

my thoughts and approaches

-> migrate as-is i.e. dashboard is migrated to Platform Analytics, but unsupported widgets are not fully rendered, good for quick migration but you will loose something

OR

-> redesign and replace incompatible widgets before migration i.e. Identify which widgets are causing incompatibility, then rebuild them using supported PA constructs.
