Hi-
I have an existing shared dashboard that I have been asked to basically replicate into a new one and tweak all of the underlying reports to show different filtered versions. When I choose to insert and stay on the dashboard I want to copy, I lose all of the associated reports and tabs in the new version, so the function is basically useless. Am I missing something or can you not copy dashboards with all of the tabs and tab features underneath? EDITED to say I'm using Jakarta, Patch 7.
Thanks,
Elaine

You should have a Duplicate Dashboard option. It's under the hamburger thing in the upper left corner. If you don't want to modify the existing reports though you'll need to open the reports, insert and save them then add the new reports to the dashboard.
Duplicating the dashboard should duplicate everything though.

Sorry - I meant if you DO WANT to modify the existing reports you'll need to open them, insert and save and re-add to dashboard.
Using the duplicate dashboard option DOES in fact duplicate everything on the dashboard, including the existing reports.
I just tried it again and confirmed it in fact does duplicate the entire dashboard and contents (in the same SN instance) - this is for duplicating in one environment though, not for copying to another SN instance.
Your link refers to Geneva version, much has changed since then. Responsive Dashboards can now be duplicated (In Jakarta and possibly in Istanbul)

Is it so that only dashboard_admin and admin can duplicate dashboards? We have Madrid.

Am I missing something? What use is this duplicate dashboard feature if it doesn't create copies of the reports within the dashboard? In my opinion it's a bit dangerous to the owner of the dashboard if they haven't adequately protected it. For example, if someone likes a dashboard I've created and duplicates it and then changes the reports some to tailors to their need, they mess up my dashboard because they've affected the underlying reports. I just don't see the point of this feature unless it creates copies of the reports. I think most people don't realize that when they edit the reports after duplicating the dashboard, it edits the original reports, not copies, and could really upset the person that created the nice dashboard that they wanted to duplicate and use as a template.
Hopefully, Service Now is planning another operation "Duplicate Dashboard and create Copies of All Content" along with "Duplicate Dashboard" (which to me still seems useless)
For me, even having a Save As in the Report itself so if you are using someone else's report as a starting point, you can create a copy that is your own.
