Metric and report for duration to populate assigned to after the assignment group changes

I need to create a report that will show the duration of time it took for 'assigned_to' to be populated after the assignment group has changed to a different group from previous. Would I be able to utilize the existing 'Assigned to Duration' metric or will this require creation of a new metric? If new metric, it would need to start when the assignment group of an incident has changed, then should end when the assigned to is populated. Appreciate any help, thanks.

As you see below you can utilize the OOTB metric for assigned to duration:

In below incident was assigned to "software" and "Fred Luddy" - afterwards assignment group was changed.
