Performance Analytics - change Indicators to Monthly from Daily

Hi folks,

I am new in this PA space, wondering if you could advise how to change Indicator from Daily to Monthly.   We are running Istanbul patch 5, and the way I attempted to change it

1) Navigate to 'Formula Indicators' under Performance Analytics -> locate Daily indicators

2) Change Frequency field to 'Monthly' from 'Daily

3) An error raises as 'Frequency cannot be changed because this indicator has scores'

I wonder if I have to change it to monthly does it suggest that the scores underneath it has to be removed?

There are 63 indicators in our Sandpit I cannot directly convert into monthly due to the existence of scores; otherwise 37 have been successfully changed to monthly.

Thank you in advance.

There is a BR preventing this change, when you have scores.

To delete scores, "scores for this Indicator" and you find a delete button.

But maybe you better leave the indicator daily and change the Time Series, in your widget or scorecard, to by month SUM

You cannot just change an indicator frequency, because the frequency of the indicator must match the frequency of its source. To change a daily indicator to monthly you have to disconnect the indicator source, and select an appropriate monthly indicator source. This invalidates the scores, so that's why it allows you to save it as monthly.

A monthly indicator source will have criteria such as "opened on this month" instead of how a daily one has, such as "opened on Today".

Thanks Matt.   I think i will need to disconnect a lot of our monthly indicator sources and give your suggestion a crack.

Much appreciate your advice.

Just make sure to do one of them, and then yourself (and/or customer) thoroughly check that its calculating as desired. Because it takes a long time to remake them all as monthly, when there are SOME monthly time series options you can use with Daily indicators.
