Performance Analytics Filtering

Hi,

We have a requirement to only show results on a PA dashboard to users for whom that data is relevant.  This is so that they can quickly see the info to help them do their job, rather than to obscure the data for security purposes therefore we don't want to use ACLs.

The logic we want to reflect is to only display metrics where the Assigned To's Department = the Current User's Department.  Elsewhere in the platform we use Dynamic Filter Options or Report Sources with javascript in the condition to achieve this.  Is there somewhere within PA that can use these elements or provide similar functionality so that a) we can maintain a single dashboard for all viewers and b) we don't care if today my department is called X and tomorrow it gets renamed to Y or I move department?  Would Interactive Filters be able to achieve this?

There are a few questions that have already been answered on this so you may want to do some more searching on here to read various options.  The short answer is that you'll want to leverage a dashboard breakdown (which won't default to the user's department but will be persistent after they select it the first time) and you'll want to look at element filters.

you can always configure interactive filters in PA dashboards to show dynamic data based on filter.

If interactive filters doesn't suit your purpose, you can use breakdowns in PA dashboards.

Hi there

 

How can I create this to be a multiple selector not a single selector? Currently I have managers with more that 1 teams, so I would like them to be able to select multiple teams rather than 1 at a time.

You need to configure multi select UI control type interactive filter.
