Question:
On the e& DEV Xanadu release, how can we connect an interactive filter based on a dot-walked field to other dashboard widgets, such as a Geo Map? We are unable to find this configuration in the Performance Analytics or reporting widget settings.

  • Create the interactive filter using the appropriate filter type (Reference, Choice, etc.) and select the dot-walked field as the filter source.
  • Open the interactive filter record and use the Interactive Filter References related list to add each target table and the corresponding field (including dot-walked fields where required). This mapping tells the dashboard how to apply the filter across different widgets and data sources.
  • Ensure that the Geo Map (or other visualization) is built on a compatible table/data source and is configured to follow interactive filters. Interactive filters only affect visualizations when the mapped field exists on the widget's underlying data source.
