Platform Analytics Migration - Scope of Core UI Reports/Dashboards - Editable or View only?

Hi there,

I’m currently developing internal end user documentation for Platform Analytics in preparation for our upcoming instance upgrade to Australia.

From my understanding, Core UI reports and dashboards will remain accessible and will be incorporated into the unified libraries until 2027. Can anyone clarify/confirm whether these Core UI reports and dashboards will continue to be editable, or if they will be view only?

Additionally, will regular users with back end permissions still be able to create Core UI reports and dashboards through 2027?

Hi @isu

Starting with the Australia release, new reports or dashboards can no longer be created in the classic UI.

  •  Core UI Reporting & Dashboards are deprecated → Use Platform Analytics instead.
  • Starting with the Australia release (Mar 2026) → You can view old dashboards—but not create or edit them anymore.
  •  The Platform Analytics Migration Center is already available to help you migrate.
  • Migration requires planning, cleanup, testing, review, and recreation.

@isu,

I found this SN post to be very helpful:

However, I have the same question about when the permissions will change in the future.
