Platform Analytics - year on year comparison

Hi all, 

I am trying to create a time series chart which will compare the number of incidents raised this year vs last year. This was simple to do in performance analytics (using the previous periods option) but I can't find a way to recreate it in performance analytics workspace - is it even possible?

I'd be grateful for any pointers.

Same question for me, to compare project costs this year versus last year, plus to show cumulative amounts to get the total difference.
